Two-Component Bonding Mortar
Two-component Bonding Mortar is a chemically enhanced system comprising polymer emulsion (liquid) and cement-based powder (solid). The synergy between film formation and hydration delivers ultra-high bond strength (≥1.5MPa), slip resistance (≤0.5mm), and flexibility (horizontal deformation ≥2.5mm), engineered for low-absorption substrates like porcelain tiles and natural stone.

Composition & Mechanism

Component Key Materials Function
Part A Styrene-acrylic/epoxy emulsion (≥45% solids) Forms flexible polymer matrix
Part B 42.5R cement + graded quartz sand Provides rigid skeleton
*Mixing ratio: A:B = 1:4 (by weight), open time 30min after mixing*

Performance (EN 12004 C2TE Class)

Property Requirement Test Data Standard
Initial bond strength ≥0.5MPa ≥1.8MPa ISO 13007-2
Wet bond strength ≥0.5MPa ≥1.5MPa (48h immersion)
Heat-aged strength ≥0.5MPa ≥1.6MPa (70℃×14d)
Freeze-thaw strength ≥0.5MPa ≥1.4MPa (-15~+20℃, 25 cycles)
Slip resistance ≤0.5mm ≤0.3mm JC/T 547-2017

Application Protocol

  1. Substrate Prep

    • Tensile strength ≥1.5MPa, moisture ≤6%

    • Pre-coat porous surfaces with EC1 primer

  2. Mixing

    • Pour liquid into container, add powder while mixing

    • Mechanical mixing ≥3min, rest 2min before use

  3. Installation

    • Notch trowel: 10mm×10mm (porcelain tiles)

    • Adjustment time: ≥15min (extend to 30min for stone)

Restrictions

  • High-vibration areas (equipment foundations)

  • Permanent water immersion (pools/saunas)
